Roof Cleaning
Tjs Pressure Washing uses a soft-wash roof washing process that extends shingle life and completely eliminates unsightly mold, mildew, and fungus. We offer roof washing for all asphalt shingle, metal, and various tile roofs.
Those unattractive, dark stains that reside on your roof are caused by a “blue-green” algae, called Gloeocapsa Magma. This particular strain of algae has some less than wonderful characteristics. It is not only a source of allergies for many people, it actually damages your asphalt shingled roof. While it thrives and grows on most types of roofs in much of the United States, it is particularly damaging to traditional asphalt shingles. A growth of this algae commonly starts on shaded areas of the roof, where the harsh Texas sun is not able to keep the roof dry. As the algae grow, it holds its own moisture which can accelerate the growth process.
The Gloeocapsa spores are carried easily by wind, birds, squirrels, and other critters. It is generally considered unavoidable. If your roof is clean now, look at your neighbor’s roof. If they have a stained roof, then it will not be long and your roof will be stained as well.
Ugly roof stains are not the worst problem, unfortunately, it also damages the roof. Algae, mold, and mildew actually grow on the tar paper underneath the asphalt separating the two layers causing the granules to shed. It also retains moisture on the surface of the roof which can cause rot, decay, and worsen leaks.
Paver Sand and Sealing
Pavers by themselves are great. But with sealing, they are even better. Paver sealing extends the life and beauty of the surface while, at the same time, protecting it from various elements. This is an all-in-one solution to most of the common paver problems. While other companies say that sealing is optional, we say that sealing pavers should be compulsory.Don’t just settle on any sealing services out there. Some self-proclaimed experts can actually do more harm than good. But that’s not a problem with Tjs Pressure Washing LLC.
Surface Cleaning
Concrete is very porous, and those pores are a natural part of the curing process of the concrete as the water evaporates out of it. Over time, rain carries road dirt, salt, and other contaminants into the concrete through those pores making it look dingy over time. Once in need of repair, a concrete driveway can cost tens of thousands of dollars to replace – not to mention weeks of inconvenience not having a driveway.
Pool Deck / Screen Enclosures
Spring is in the air, and so is lots of pollen. There is something about that bright orange color that jumps off of whatever surface it is on (vinyl, concrete, brick, stone, etc.) and catches the eye of all those who pass by. Rust stains can ruin an otherwise perfect looking house, commercial building or storefront. Rust stains occur when water runs over metal fixtures and deposits the iron particles on your vinyl, concrete or pavement surface. But every orange tinged stain you see may not be rust. Irrigation such as sprinkler systems can spread fertilizer containing and iron compound onto your commercial building, sidewalks and even windows. Over the time these deposits also turn into rust stains as the iron oxidizes. Your parking lot or driveway may also have orange staining but this is likely from car battery acid. No matter what their source, you don’t have to put up with their appearance any longer!
